" (...) Our love had to turn to Mexico. (...) We are looking for a little blood that comes from dreams sometimes so sorely missed. Here we find a tangled world, more miserable and richer than anything that could be imagined. We still find, seventy years after Andre Breton, surrealism's great land, where dreams and life, laughter and death, walk arm in arm below. Astonished, we discover Alan Glass and his work: a large Quebec surreal, virtually unknown in its country of origin, which in practice master the art of shaping what haunts us. This sometimes using drawings of a perfect detail, but mostly collages, assemblages, which reinvest all the wonderful things necessary. Through her eyes, the world comes to life. The Museum of Modern Art in Mexico City, where he has lived since 1970, recently paid her tribute in a major retrospective. We want here to greet him, saying how much we appreciate her beauty, her exuberant discretion. We bet that we will return. "
